“>New Music Friday Playlist – September 27, 2019
It’s too big of a week to cover everything, but as you can tell from the top pic, I’m very excited about this special release of unreleased demos, live cuts and collaborations with Tom Waits from The Replacements‘ Don’t Tell a Soul sessions that have just been uncovered. This is a major release from the group, and a must-listen for fans.
In official new music, country outsider Sturgill Simpson‘s latest album is out, and acts as a soundtrack to an anime film the singer masterminded. Tegan and Sara‘s latest album is filled with reimagining of songs they wrote in high school. For those of you who like straight-up well written indie tunes, you’ll like the new New Pornographers album. Or if you want some melodic power metal, Dragonforce will be your cup of tea.
Listen to these, along with new songs from Jimmy Eat World, Broken Bells, Elohim, ELO, Red City Radio, Skylar Grey and Songhoy Blues. All this and more in our NMF Playlist (link at the top) or to sample below.
