So we’re two months into quarantine, with possibly three months left to go. We are hoping you’re all doing all right, and that music is helping you through this as it helps us.
I’m sure we’re all looking forward to having reunions with friends and family once this ends, but for today, we’ll enjoy Reunions, the latest opus from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. All signs point to this being one of the year’s best albums. The new full length from recent Bad Ass Break-Out artists The Jerry Cans is out and sounding fantastic. Today also brings the debut EP from rising star KennyHoopla, which will likely only help him soar higher.
Some more tracks you can keep an ear out for in today’s playlist: new ones from producer Mark Ronson, jazz guru Kamasi Washington, old folkie Neil Young, pop punk lifers MxPx, bombastic emo group Anchor and Braille, and buzzed songwriter Donna Missal.
Also very happy to see previous Check This artist Rare Americans returning with a song on the soundtrack for the new movie Scoob! A great sign that big things are coming for this group.
As always, we’ve got all these new tunes plus more here an easy New Music Friday Playlist for ya. Enjoy, and stay well!
