Kat Leon (Holy Wars) sought to create an anthem of angst for today’s modern climate when she wrote “Rebel” for her new project Pep Squad. A loud, angsty punk shout-along, the group has created an appropriately rousing video to accompany the track.
And what a video it is. Melding moving-comic book style cut scenes with a captivating live action/animation hybrid for the performance scenes, the video takes us into a riotous, neon-night cityscape that feels like it’s on the brink of revolution.
