Welcome to February folks! Firing up this February Friday is fresh music from Foo Fighters! Feeling it? While not contributing to my alliteration fun, we’re also getting a semi-surprise new album from Hayley Williams today, and the latest from power pop songwriter Aaron Lee Tasjan. We’ll also be spinning new EPs from melodic punks Frontside, and the extremely underrated Fang Fang.
90’s rockers Eve 6 have had a cultural revival thanks to frontman Max Collins‘ excellent Twitter game, and today they get to capitalize on their increased exposure as their new single is presented to the world. Some other artists we like here who are dropping new songs today are The Night Game, NOFX, Cloud Nothings, Elijah Ocean, Vic Mensa and Ben Howard.
Showing off some covers today, we have Black Pumas and Lucius collaborating on The Kinks‘ “Strangers”, and Pete Yorn taking on Bob Dylan‘s “Lay Lady Lay”. And as we’re a site based around wanting to help promote the best new and rising artists out there, we’ve also added in new tunes from We Are the Union, The Drives, Tai Verdes, Sunny War, Modesty Blaise and Michigander.
