This is a week I’ve been looking forward to for a long while (and it’s not just because I’m going to When We Were Young Fest tomorrow). Today we are getting three of our most anticipated albums of 2022; The Car from Arctic Monkeys, We Will Meet in a Hurricane from Bedouin Soundclash, and Crybaby from Tegan and Sara. And if that wasn’t enough, we also have one of my favorite albums of the year from New Junk City (read our review here) and a new one from alternative legends Archers of Loaf. We even have a new EP from Bayside, on the heels of their WWWY fest performance. I’ll be listening to all of these on my drive to Vegas.
Some of the songs that I (and you) should also be listening to this weekend are the latest from power-pop artist Dazy, a new banger from Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, featuring the one and only Jamie T, the second new song from Jimmy Eat World this year, and a new one from Justin Courtney Pierre. We also have the latest from Broadwing, Theory of a Deadman, Phoenix, Darko, Frances Luke Accord, The Used, MxPx, Kids That Fly and First Aid Kit.
Some of the artists getting their first adds to our playlist this week are Lincoln, Plasmic, Now More Than Ever, Daisha McBride, My Name is Ian, Topsy Turvy and DWLLRS!
