In honor of his “biopic” dropping last week, I felt like it would be a good Thursday to throwback to one of my favorite “Weird Al” Yankovic songs, “Jurassic Park”. A parody of “MacArthur Park”, the song’s lyrics always had me laughing growing ups, whether it was highlighting the good side of the T-Rex (eating lawyers) or the Barney reference.
The claymation video for the song was also fantastic and way ahead of its time (look at the mix-media animation during the bridge). Just a reminder of how comedically brilliant “Weird Al” is beyond just writing sharp song parodies.
