It’s a huge release day with some hotly-anticipated albums out, so let’s get to it. If you grew up in the 90’s/early 00’s, you would have had to be under a rock to now have heard Lit‘s “Own Worst Enemy”. Well, those rockers are back with a new album of catchy jams, and coming with them from the late 90’s is Fastball with a new album. Recent gold-single earning folk rockers Mt. Joy have their latest album out, and rising indie hero Bartees Strange has his first new album since breaking big. And for fans of punk and pop-punk, you’ll dig the latest from girlfriends, Pollyanna, and the debut solo album from The Living End‘s Chris Cheney.
Eminem has teamed up with CeeLo Green for a new track for the Elvis soundtrack, which is sure to be huge. Former Check This band Beatenberg are back with a new track, and Ben Harper has announced his next album with a new single. Bluegrass greats Trampled by Turtles are also prepping a new album with a new song, and emo rockers Senses Fail continue the lead up to their next one with a slamming new track.
Everything Hot Mulligan releases usually gets stuck in my head, so this new one should likely be no different. Same goes for the latest from Chad Tepper. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Young the Giant, but they’re back with a new single and album dropping later this year.
Artists getting their first spins in our playlist this week are Big Scary Indian, Danny McGaw, Juracán, Darlin’ Brando, Brightshine, This Coast Bias and Wolf Rd.
