“Spooky Season” is coming to an end, and to be honest, there’s nothing too scary about our new releases this week, except that they are frighteningly good. To start off, we have the major label debut of Texas rockers’ Giovannie and the Hired Guns. Alt-pop duo Daisy the Great have a great new album out (read our interview with them about it here), and Canadian troubadour Dan Mangan is back with his latest opus. Punk/rap rising star De’Wayne has his new full length out, and finally, bluegrass veterans Trampled by Turtles have their latest one for us. We also have a new EP from recent Banger artist The Holdouts.
Despite taking a hiatus from the road, the great Sam Fender found time to record a new song for his upcoming live album, and we’ve got that for you. Power pop band White Reaper have announced a new tour and a new single out today. Indie alt act The Go! Team and Oh! The Humanity, two bands deserving of the “!” in their names, should get you excited with their new songs. Iggy Pop returns to rock with his new single, and one of the best modern rappers, Killer Mike, is hitting hard with his new one.
Also returning to the list this week are Anxious, Career Woman, Tripping Jupiter, Pony Bradshaw, Gus Daperton, American Thrills and Bring the Hoax. Acts you’ll likely be hearing for the first time in our playlist this week are Mondo Trasho, Moxy the Band, Sub Lights, Born Without Bones and Trunky Juno.
