New Music Friday Playlist – April 26, 2019
Last Friday of April, and it’s going to be a good one for fans of pop, indie songwriters and adult contemporary music.
Matchbox Twenty‘s Rob Thomas drops his third solo outing, while The Hold Steady‘s Craig Finn drops his second (see our review of it here). Indie darlings Local Natives, Josh Ritter and The Mountain Goats both have new albums out, and pop mega-star P!nk is releasing her latest album. You should also check out the new EP from Check This artist Lenny Bull!
And you can’t miss our exclusive interview with Radical Face’s Ben Cooper who talks about his brand new EP Therapy.
In singles, the Boss himself has released the first single from his just-announced new album Western Stars. One of the last remaining posthumous Charles Bradley tracks has come out, as has a track from the old-but-going-strong Willie Nelson. There’s also a metal-tinged new track from Canadian punks Sum 41, surf rock from the Allah-Las and a folkier new track from Lucy Dacus.
